Veterans Day Free Pet Care
Join us this Veterans Day, November 11, 2025, as Veterinary Mission of Mercy (VMOM) hosts a free veterinary outreach clinic at the Fort Belvoir Exchange on Fort Belvoir, VA. We will provide health and wellness exams, vaccinations, and heartworm tests at no cost to veterans or the installation.

This event honors those who served by caring for the animals who serve and support them daily.

What services will be offered?
We will offer vaccines (for dogs and cats), wellness checks, and heartworm tests.

What type of pets will you see?
We have vaccines and heartworm tests for dogs and cats, but if you have another type of pet you would like us to see, we can do a general check-up as well.

Do I need to pre-register?
No, but it is recommended. We will have registration forms available on-site, but completing the form online ahead of time will save you time.

Does pre-registration guarantee service?
Unfortunately, we have limited vaccines and time. We cannot guarantee that you will be seen, especially towards the end of the day.

Do I need to bring my pet's shot record?
Your pet's shot record would be helpful to understand their needs; however, it is not required. We will provide you with a shot record of the vaccines your pet received to provide to your local veterinary clinic.

Do you accept donations?
Yes! Veterinary Mission of Mercy seeks to provide free veterinary services to veterans, but we depend on donations from our generous patrons. If you would like to contribute to our mission so we can continue to offer these services, please visit our home page.
